Welcome to the Bruges Foreigners Club

We are a mixed group of foreign people of all ages and coming from all walks of life and countries, such as New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Japan, Canada, South Africa, Malaysia plus of course the U.K. and U.S. The group started in 1996 as a meeting for mothers with young children, but the group quickly expanded as we met more and more foreigners who thought that they were the only ones living here. What a pleasant surprise they got when they realized that they weren't!

This is a site for all expatriates from every country around the world who live in the area around Bruges and want to meet other English-speaking people. We all have one thing in common, and that is we live far away from our family and friends who used to be there when we needed help or advice - so we support each other here instead. The Club is free, and there are several get togethers each month to choose from.

Just drop an e-mail to brugesforeignersclub@hotmail.com if you would like to make contact, or just show up for coffee and a chat at the main meeting of the month on the 1st Friday of every month at 9.15am at THE HEMA STORE, Steenstraat (Zuidzandstraat), in the coffee shop on the first floor. There is a lift (elevator) for anyone who doesnt want to use the escalator. They sell breakfast food as well as all kinds of hot and cold drinks.
